Who Are We?

Only you can search for yourself to find out this question. Have you ever heard of Maslow? He's a psychologist that instead of studying sad people, he studied happy people. He created the concept of Self-Actualization. Which basically is being the best you, you can possibly be, but how do we reach self-actualization? Well Maslow lists...

EIGHT WAYS TO SELF ACTUALIZE
  1. Experience things fully, vividly, selflessly. Throw yourself into the experiencing of something: concentrate on it fully, let it totally absorb you.
  2. Life is an ongoing process of choosing between safety (out of fear and need for defense) and risk (for the sake of progress and growth): Make the growth choice a dozen times a day.
  3. Let the self emerge. Try to shut out the external clues as to what you should think, feel, say, and so on, and let your experience enable you to say what you truly feel.
  4. When in doubt, be honest. If you look into yourself and are honest, you will also take responsibility. Taking responsibility is self-actualizing.
  5. Listen to your own tastes. Be prepared to be unpopular.
  6. Use your intelligence, work to do well the things you want to do, no matter how insignificant they seem to be.
  7. Make peak experiencing more likely: get rid of illusions and false notions. Learn what you are good at and what your potentialities are not.
  8. Find out who you are, what you are, what you like and don't like, what is good and what is bad for you, where you are going, what your mission is. Opening yourself up to yourself in this way means identifying defenses--and then finding the courage to give them up.
We so often boost others up over ourselves... or maybe even boost ourselves too much over others.... We spend so much time thinking of others... and not in the good way! We need to accept that we are all souls trying to figure life out the best we can! We need to focus on ourselves and what makes us happy... which generally we can find if we also focus on helping others. Not dwelling on who's better, but dwelling on how to make both of you better! Who are we? Well I believe we're all brothers and sisters  sent here to love. We need to love ourselves and each other for what we are... and that's human!

Who Is Your God?

Who Is My God?

My God looked at me before I came to earth and told me I would make mistakes, he told me I would feel pain, I would feel consequence, and he told me that at times I would feel lonely and even though I was surrounded by people, I would feel empty. He told me that people would question my beliefs: He told me that even I would question them. He told me life will get really hard at times, and even though he wants to with all of his loving heart, he wont interfere.

Before I cam to earth my God took me in his arms and said, "Going to earth wont always be easy for you, but it WILL be worth it". He told me that out of all of the death, I would learn to live, along with all of the heartbreak, I would learn to laugh, out of all of the hate, I would learn to love unconditionally, and on the days when I wake up, not wanting to move or try anymore, I would learn to dance.

He told me that I would get down at times and lose sight of my testimony, but he would always be there to lift it back up. He told me not to be afraid because 8 years after I'm born I would be submerged with water and receive a great companion that would help me to remember who I am. He told me to stay strong because 4 years after that I would be placed with a bunch of young women that will help me learn of the savior and of the atoning sacrifice that will ALWAYS be available to me. He told me not to be shy because along the journey I will meet many great people, each one for a reason, each one to teach me something, and each one to love.

Before I came to earth he told me that I will always be able to reach him and that he will always love me and that I can always gain reassurance through my knees. Before I came to earth God looked at me, smiled, and said "I love you. I am YOUR God, and you are MY daughter. Daughter, you wont be perfect, but because you are MY daughter, someday you can be. Now go forth and do my work".

Now that I am on earth I pray to my Heavenly Father and say "You are MY God. Dear Father I know that I will be apart from you for a short while, but I will make it back because I know that MY savior and your son died for ME so that I can return again. Thank you for the sorrow, thank you for the joy, and thank you for being MY God.
